I’d long wanted to photograph Saskia, so we went to Thetford Forest. Soft afternoon light through the pines created a muted, cinematic mood. Saskia moved with quiet confidence — a look, a step into light, a silhouette against trunks — dominating the simple natural backdrop.

I emphasized contrasts: warm skin against cool greens and browns, delicate features beside rough bark. Close-ups captured stray hair, a slight smile, fingers on moss; wider shots placed her in the calm landscape.

Techniques: natural light with a reflector to fill shadows; primes and short teles for intimate and environmental frames; low ISO and careful exposure. Minimal posing, favoring natural movement.

The result: quiet, timeless portraits showing Saskia’s ease and the forest’s serene mood.
